Into The World
A classic confetti moment as Michelle and Jonathan exit beneath the iconic Sale Town Hall signage. A true local landmark for this wedding day.
August 2025 brought sunshine, style and plenty of smiles as Michelle and Jonathan celebrated their wedding day at the iconic Sale Town Hall in Trafford, Greater Manchester. As a Wedding Photographer based right here in Sale, it’s always a special honour to document local love stories like theirs in such a charming and familiar setting.
A Scottish Touch Meets Modern Elegance
Michelle and Jonathan made their entrance together, arriving in a red and white vintage VW camper van alongside best man Daniel and bridesmaid Katherine, setting the tone for a day filled with personality and joy. The ceremony took place inside the stately surroundings of Sale Town Hall, where the warmth of family and the excitement of the occasion radiated from every corner.

Bridal elegance in bloom
A close-up of Michelle’s summer bouquet, understated and beautiful in soft greens and whites to match the season.
Michelle was a vision in her modern white dress, featuring delicate floral detailing that caught the light beautifully. Her look was perfectly completed with an understated green and white bouquet, fresh, elegant and effortlessly stylish. Jonathan brought his own unique flair to the day, proudly wearing a traditional tartan kilt paired with a blue waistcoat and blazer, finished with sporran and sgian dubh. Daniel matched in style, while bridesmaid Katherine looked stunning in a navy blue pleated waist dress.

Heartfelt Moments and Family Traditions
The wedding ceremony was not only full of love, but also rich with meaning. Michelle was proudly walked down the aisle by her father, Mark, before both Mark and later, Jonathan’s father Colin, delivered readings that brought a real sense of connection and warmth to the proceedings. All the while proud mum’s Tracey and Eileen looked on beaming throughout, clearly full of pride and love for their children on this unforgettable day.
Words from the heart
An emotional reading from the father of the bride adds a personal and heartfelt touch to the ceremony.
Once the legal part was complete, the newlyweds stepped out to a confetti guard of honour on the steps of Sale Town Hall, a timeless moment filled with laughter, cheers, and a flurry of colour, before all their guests gathered around for a full group photo to mark the joyful occasion.

A Walk Along the Bridgewater Canal
As guests made their way into The Waterside, just next door to the Town Hall, for a champagne reception and some delicious bites, I took the opportunity to walk with Michelle and Jonathan for some relaxed portraits along the Bridgewater Canal.
The canal runs right through Sale and provides a peaceful and picturesque setting for the couple to enjoy a quiet moment together and for me to capture some beautiful candids of the happy couple.

A lot of love from the people of Sale
Michelle and Jonathan were not short of well wishers. The locals of Sale were out in force to wish them all their very best. Folks passing by, cyclists, a cheer of joy from the local pub, even families on boats shouting their congratulations to the happy couple. It’s always a thrill to hear the joy that a local wedding brings to the people of Sale.

A Special Day in the Heart of Sale
For me, being a Sale Wedding Photographer means more than just capturing images. It’s about telling real love stories set in the places I know and love. So I was really honoured to be trusted by Michelle and Jonathan to tell the story of their wedding day. And it’s always fantastic to be invited to a ceremony at Sale Town Hall. It not only offers classic architecture and rich character, but is the perfect local venue for heartfelt, meaningful ceremonies right here in Trafford.
From my family to yours Jonathan & Michelle, massive congratulations and we wish you the very best for your new beginnings as husband and wife.
